Seabourn Quest Emerges from Dry Dock with Major Upgrades and Sustainability Enhancements

When Seabourn Quest entered dry dock for the most extensive renovation in the ship’s history, the goal wasn’t simply to refresh guest spaces – it was also to rethink what happens to the materials being replaced. The result is a transformation that blends elevated luxury with sustainability efforts, giving thousands of onboard furnishings and materials a second life.

More than 20,000 square meters of carpet removed during the renovation was diverted from landfill and is planned to be repurposed into new carpet padding for a future Seabourn renovation. Mattresses were deconstructed for recycling, lounge furnishings were donated to a local Italian nonprofit and updated suites now feature biodegradable Cradle to Cradle Dansk Wilton wool carpet to support a closed-loop lifecycle approach.

The ship’s refreshed interiors now feature updated suites, dining venues, public spaces and wellness areas, designed to create an even warmer, more welcoming atmosphere.

Since its upgrades, Seabourn Quest has resumed its Mediterranean sailings. Guests can experience the renewed ship while sailing itineraries throughout Croatia, Greece, Montenegro and Turkey.
