Carnival Corporation Returns to Acapulco with Holland America Line’s Eurodam

From its famous cliff divers to its scenic Pacific coastline, Acapulco has long been one of Mexico’s most recognized travel destinations. Earlier this week, Carnival Corporation celebrated its return to the iconic port as Holland America Line’s Eurodam arrived, the company’s first scheduled call there in 17 years.

For travelers, the visit invites guests to rediscover Acapulco’s sun-soaked beaches, vibrant culture and warm hospitality that has drawn travelers to Mexico’s Pacific coast for generations.

Bringing cruise travel back to Acapulco took close collaboration with government, industry and local partners who share a commitment to growing cruise tourism and creating economic opportunity in the region. Carnival Corporation is grateful for their partnership and the warm welcome they extended to Eurodam and its guests.

The milestone also marks a new chapter in Carnival Corporation’s longstanding relationship with Mexico, where the company and its cruise lines have operated for more than 50 years. Today, all eight Carnival Corporation cruise lines visit 14 ports across the country, with more than 1,300 calls scheduled in 2026 and approximately 4.6 million visitors expected this year.

And this is only the beginning. Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Firenze is scheduled to call on Acapulco on Oct. 26, with more calls from the company’s cruise lines to follow.
