Carnival Corporation Takes Home Two Sustainable Century Awards From the Port of Seattle
We have two more awards for our shelf!
The Port of Seattle honored both Carnival Corporation and Carnival Cruise Line with Sustainable Century Awards – recognizing the company’s leadership in environmental innovation and performance.
Carnival Corporation took home the Environmental Performance award for our voluntary participation in the Quiet Sound program, which slows ships in Washington’s Admiralty Inlet to reduce underwater noise for endangered southern resident killer whales. Quiet Sound says our company posted the highest participation rate of any other cruise operator in the program.
Carnival Cruise Line earned the Environmental Innovation award for its “Our Sea Pledge” program, which slashed food waste from 2.71 to 1.28 pounds per person since 2019, eliminated over 116,000 glass bottles through closed-loop packaging and recycled more than 25 million pounds of material in 2025 alone.
