Laura has served on the Boards of Directors of Carnival Corporation and Carnival plc since 2007. In this role, she serves as chair of the Audit Committees and member of the Compensation Committees and Compliance Committees.

Laura’s qualifications to serve on the boards include extensive financial, strategic information technology and operational skills developed over many years as an investment banker and senior financial operating executive. She also brings to the role significant experience in global digital transformation and consumer strategies from her leadership experience at several large retailers. This includes her current role as Founder and Managing Partner of Village Lane Advisory LLC, which specializes in providing executive and strategic consulting services to retailers and private equity firms.

Laura has extensive experience leading transformational technology initiatives gained through several prior roles, including management of cybersecurity matters, which bolsters our Boards’ ability to understand and address risks and opportunities related to technology and cybersecurity.

Prior to founding Village Lane Advisory LLC, Laura was the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice
President of New York & Company, Inc., an omni-channel retailer for women’s apparel and accessories.
Previously, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Ashley Stewart LLC, a plus-size women’s clothing
retailer, where she accomplished a successful turnaround of the company through a restructuring,
recapitalization and sale to new investors.

Laura is currently a supervisory member of the Board of Directors of Global Fashion Group S.A. and serves on the board of trustees of the Public Prep Charter Network, the U.S.’s first non-profit tuition-free charter school network. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Daniel’s Jewelers Limited and Pearl Holdings Acquisition Corporation. Additionally, Laura has previously served as a Board member of Bamboo Rose Inc., Christopher & Banks Corporation, Ultra Stores Inc., and Aritzia Inc.

Laura also serves on the Board of Directors of the Manhattan Theatre Club, a nonprofit theater company in New York City.

Personal & Educational Background

Laura earned a Master of Business Administration in finance and marketing from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in art history and government from Smith College.
