Carnival Corporation Leaders Help Chart the Future of Cruise Tourism at Seatrade Cruise Med
Carnival Corporation leaders helped shape key industry conversations at this year’s Seatrade Cruise Med conference, participating in panels focused on destination partnerships, itinerary development and the future of cruise tourism.
Representing Carnival Maritime, Richard Cooke, senior manager of port operations and destination engagement, joined the panel “The Atlantic Advantage,” which explored how destinations including the Canary Islands, Madeira, the Azores and Morocco are creating new opportunities for year-round cruising and alternative itineraries.
Meanwhile, Marie McKenzie, senior vice president of government and destination affairs, joined the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association’s “Beyond the Beach” panel alongside Davide Truscello, director of pricing, itinerary and revenue planning for Costa Cruises. Their discussion highlighted how collaboration between cruise lines and local communities can enhance guest experiences while supporting sustainable growth for destinations.
While the topics differed, both discussions focused on a common theme: strong partnerships are essential to the future of cruise tourism. Whether strengthening destination experiences, developing compelling itineraries or creating lasting benefits for local communities, collaboration remains at the heart of long-term success.
