P&O Cruises’ Arvia and Iona Meet in the Caribbean
Sunrise brought double the delight in Sint Maarten as P&O Cruises’ sister ships Arvia and Iona arrived side by side in a rare coinciding Caribbean call.
Docking right next to each other in Philipsburg Jan. 23, the two Excel class ships created an unforgettable moment, with Captains Robert Camby and Andrew Wolverson greeting each other on the dock as guests and crew waved across balconies.
Set against Sint Maarten’s iconic white sand beaches, the landmark visit brought together two ships sailing very different journeys – Arvia midway through her Caribbean fly-cruise season and Iona on an epic winter voyage from Southampton in Hampshire, England.
