Enrique (Rick) Miguez

Rick is General Counsel of Carnival Corporation & plc, one of the world’s largest leisure travel companies. In this role, Rick is responsible for the legal affairs of the company and its world-class cruise line brands including AIDA Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Holland America Line, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, and Seabourn. Rick also oversees the company’s global ethics and compliance group and the company’s corporate tax group, helping to ensure the company maintains the highest standards of excellence in compliance and governance. He reports to Josh Weinstein, Chief Executive Officer of Carnival Corporation & plc.
Having practiced law for over 35 years, Rick brings extensive experience in corporate, risk management and international maritime law to his role, where he leads a global team of attorneys responsible for the legal affairs of the company and its world-class cruise line brands. Rick has served in key positions for several decades at Carnival Corporation & plc, including Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel, and has been pivotal in providing strategic advice and guidance to executive leadership, including navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes, reducing exposure to risks and defending key interests of the company while aligning legal strategies with the broader business objectives of the company.
