Cunard Queens Honored with AMVER Award
Maritime traditions are deeply ingrained in the Carnival Corporation & plc culture, including our duty to be a Good Samaritan at sea, a practice enshrined in both ancient customs and modern international protocols. It’s why we voluntarily participate in the worldwide Automated Mutual Assistance Vessel Rescue (AMVER) program enabling rescuers to quickly identify the nearby vessels to assist in emergencies.
Our participation took center stage recently at a U.S. Embassy event in the UK honoring our role in the program. The celebration spotlighted the essential part our fleet plays in global maritime safety, with Cunard’s Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth earning special recognition for their enduring readiness to assist whenever a distress call comes through.
