Carnival Corporation Shares Operational Expertise at the Norwegian Cruise Conference
From the fjords to the conference stage, Carnival Corporation made waves at the Norwegian Cruise Conference – a key annual forum for cruise operators in Norwegian waters.
Organized by the Norwegian Coastal Administration and the Norwegian Maritime Authority, and supported by Cruise Norway, the conference brought together government authorities and industry leaders to advance best practices in safety, preparedness and operational resilience.
Carnival Corporation was represented by Captain Marcin Banach, director, nautical and security operations with the company’s maritime team, who shared industry perspectives on operational risk management, voyage planning and ship‑shore coordination – reflecting Carnival Corporation’s role as one of the largest and most experienced cruise operators in Norway.
A highlight of the program was a collaborative tabletop exercise that showcased how ship and shore partners align and coordinate across local and national levels, reinforcing strong communication, shared preparedness and seamless coordination in Norway’s uniquely complex operating environment.
