Highly Acclaimed Singer And Actress Elaine Paige Named Godmother Of New Seabourn Ovation

Actress, singer,producer and presenter will preside over the Naming Ceremony for Seabourn'snewest ultra-luxury ship

SEATTLE, March6, 2018 - One of the world's best-loved and mosthighly awarded actresses and singers, Elaine Paige, will serve as godmother to Seabourn'selegant new all-suite ship,Seabourn Ovation.

The naming ceremony willtake place Friday, May 11, in the beautiful baroque harbour of Valletta, Maltaduring a spectacular ceremony that will light up the dramatic UNESCO WorldHeritage site and the 2018 European Capital of Culture. Seabourn enjoys amulti-year partnership with UNESCO to support their efforts to protect WorldHeritage at sites around the world.

Elaine Paige's biographyreads like a "who's who" of the stage musical. She originated therole of Eva Peron in Evita, followed by Grizabella in Cats and Florence inChess. She has starred in more smash hit West End and Broadway musicals thananyone else of her generation - from Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, AnythingGoes, Sunset Boulevard, to The King & I; Sweeney Todd and Follies - andmany more.

With an impressive andglittering roster of accolades, Elaine bears the unofficial title of "TheFirst Lady of British Musical Theatre." She has defined musicals and hassimply set the gold standard. In 1995, she was awarded an OBE (Order of the BritishEmpire) for services to Musical Theatre by HM Queen Elizabeth II.
