Holland America Line Hosts 21st Annual South Florida Business Leaders’ Luncheon for Seafarers’ House at Port Everglades

Seattle, Wash., Nov. 16, 2016 — HollandAmerica Line hosted the 21st annual South Florida Business Leaders' Luncheonfor the Seafarers' House aboard ms Zuiderdam Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, atPort Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Holland America Line PresidentOrlando Ashford was in attendance to celebrate the long-standing partnershipwith the local organization that supports seafarers coming into PortEverglades, Florida. During the event, Seafarers' House honored Bob L. Moss, the 2016Business Leader of the Year.

"The crew are the heart of our cruise experience, andSeafarers' House continues to offer them exceptional support when our ships areat Port Everglades," said Ashford. "Seafarers' House makes an incredible impacton our crew members, giving them a home away from home, somewhere to turn forguidance and a place to relax; and we are a proud community partner today andevery day."

Seafarers'House at Port Everglades is a multifaith cooperation that is open throughoutthe year as a safe, friendly place where mariners can connect with theirfamilies, relax or get emergency assistance if needed. Seafarers' House offersmany services including low-cost international phone calls, freetransportation, internet access and counseling services, and also providesrecreational facilities.
