Carnival Shifts Key Sales Leadership Positions and Creates New Roles to Better Support Travel Agents
HighlyExperienced Sales Executives Vicki Tomasino and Kirk Neal to Oversee Westernand Eastern U.S. Regions, Respectively; <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
New Trade SalesPositions Added Both Domestically and Internationally
MIAMI(November 5, 2015) – Carnival Cruise Line has made a number of enhancements toits trade sales organization, shifting two of its most experienced salesprofessionals to new roles and appointing sales directors to oversee two newlycreated territories. The company is also adding a new sales positionresponsible for the Gulf Coast region. Sales management positions have beenadded within the line’s international sales division, as well. Thechanges are part of Carnival’s “Onboard with You” trade support platform,launched last month.
Vicki Tomasino, a highly respected member of Carnival’s sales team for the past30 years, has been appointed regional vice president of the western U.S.In this capacity, Tomasino will oversee business development, training andsales support for travel partners in this region, while continuing to lead thecompany’s trade and community relations team.
Kirk Neal, a skilled travel industry professional with 28 years of experienceboth shipboard and ashore at Carnival, has been named regional vice presidentof the eastern U.S. and Caribbean. Neal will focus on business development andtravel partner support in this region. The new roles for Tomasino andNeal will allow them to more closely focus on key geographies within Carnival’sdomestic sales function.
“With these new appointments, we’re placing a stronger focus on key salesterritories with two of the most trusted and talented sales professionals inthe cruise industry,” said Carnival’s Vice President of Trade Sales &Marketing Adolfo Perez. “Vicki and Kirk are already hard at work with theirteams implementing a number of initiatives designed to better support ourvalued travel agent partners.”
Additionally, Carnival has named Ann Hall, a 14-year Carnival veteran, businessdevelopment director for the Greater New York City area. Mimma Mallogi,who has been with the Carnival team for seven years, has been appointedbusiness development director for the Pacific Northwest region. The line is recruitingfor a new business development manager position for the Gulf Coast region, aswell.
“Mimma and Ann are hitting the ground running in their expanded roles, bringingtheir extensive sales expertise and energy to their respective regions,” saidCarnival’s Vice President - U.S. Field Sales Mike Julius. “They’re both highlyskilled sales professionals who will contribute greatly to travel agentdevelopment in their regions.”
Carnival has also added two new business development manager positions withinthe company’s international sales division. Overseeing Spain, South America andMexico is Carlos Yebra, a 24-year travel industry veteran based in Madrid,Spain. Responsible for the balance of Europe, as well as Israel and Japan, isPaul Nyens, a travel industry sales professional based in Antwerp, Belgium,with 26 years of travel industry experience.
