Carnival Corporation launches countrywide island-hopping recruitment tour

August 12, 2024 – Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), the leading cruise

company in the Caribbean and world's largest cruise company, is embarking on an island-hopping

recruitment tour across The Bahamas in search of new team members for its highly anticipated cruise

port destination, Celebration Key.

The recruitment tour will begin September 7 at the Grand Lucayan on Grand Bahama. This will be

followed by visits to Andros, Long Island, Nassau, Abaco, Cat Island and San Salvador. At each event,

individuals and local companies interested in joining the team can learn about managerial, supervisory,

housekeeping and lifeguarding positions, along with opportunities in areas such as maintenance, IT,

guest experience, operations, finance, safety and much more.

“We are so excited for this recruitment drive because our company’s success is driven, in large part, by

building a team that reflects the amazing diversity of the destinations we visit and communities we serve,”

said Marielle Johnson, Lead Recruiter. “These events are a unique opportunity for hundreds of

Bahamians from all communities to meet the entire Carnival Corporation team, learn about the wide array

of career paths and employment benefits, and join us in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests

at Celebration Key.”

The initiative aims to ensure that every Bahamian who is interested in a position at Celebration Key has

an opportunity to apply. The application process will be conducted electronically, with resumes and

documents uploaded to a recruitment database. Celebration Key executives and Human Resources

representatives will be on hand at each event to help guide candidates through the process.

This effort is part of Carnival Corporation’s commitment to maximizing opportunities for the local

community at Celebration Key, where at least 75% of retail and food and beverage outlets will be owned

and operated by Bahamians. Slated to open summer 2025, Celebration Key will create over 700

permanent jobs in Grand Bahama, including over 400 direct jobs with Carnival Corporation.

With the recently announced additional $100 million pier extension investment, the initial phase of the

now $600 million Celebration Key, including the original two cruise ship berths, is projected to help

generate a huge boost in economic activity in the Grand Bahama community, which will welcome 2.2

million guests each year starting in 2025.
