Holland America Line Makes $25,000 Donation to Seattle Children’s Hospital as Part of K’s for Kids with the Seattle Mariners

Seattle'sHometown Cruise Line gives back to the community with the Seattle Mariners

Seattle,Wash., Oct. 6, 2017—Holland America Line Vice President, Public Relations,Sally Andrews presented a check for $25,000 to Seattle Children's Hospital'sUncompensated Care Fund Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at the Seattle Mariners' homegame at Safeco Field. The company made the donation as part of its partnershipwith the Seattle Mariners Major League Baseball team and the K's forKids program that debuted during the 2014 baseball season.

WithK's for Kids, for each strikeout (represented as a "K" on a baseball scorecard) recorded by a Mariners pitcher at Safeco Field throughout the season, acash donation was made to reach the $25,000 donation to Seattle Children'sHospital.Andrews was joined on the field during the check presentation by 15-year-old Seattle Children's patient and cancer survivor Annalise Haines.

"Thisyear puts our total donation to Seattle Children's Hospital through K's forKids since we began the program at $100,000, and we couldn't be more proud topartner with an organization like the Seattle Mariners to make this programsuch a success," said Orlando Ashford, president, Holland America Line."Presenting the $25,000 check to a courageous superhero like Annalise on behalfof Seattle Children's is an honor, knowing that it will go toward helping manyother kids in need."

In addition, Seattle'sHometown Cruise Line is the presenting sponsor of the Salute to Those Who Serveprogram honoring the men and women of the United States military. As well, theline sponsors Get Well Tours to area hospitals and the annual Fan AppreciationNight where two lucky fans at that game win Holland America Line cruises.

Saluteto Those Who Serve Military Program

At 26 Mariners home games this season, the Salute to Those WhoServe program honored some of the men and women of the United States armedforces. During Friday and Sunday games, a member of the military (active,reserve, veteran or retired) was recognized on field for his or her service toour country. Each honoree received four tickets and one parking pass to the game.Holland America Line is the presenting sponsor of the program.

HollandAmerica Line Get Well Tours

HollandAmerica Line is the presenting sponsor of the Seattle Mariners Get Well Tours,visits to area hospitals by Mariners players and the Mariner Moose wherechildren receive photos and autographs and a Holland America Line-brandedsports bag filled with Mariners- and baseball-related items such as replicabaseballs and a stuffed Moose doll.

HollandAmerica Line Fan Appreciation Night

HollandAmerica Line is the presenting sponsor of the annual Fan Appreciation Nightcelebration at Safeco Field.Traditionally the final Friday home game ofeach season, Fan Appreciation Night celebrates the loyalty and support ofMariners fans with prize drawings throughout the game. As part of itssponsorship, Holland America Line provides two cruise giveaways at FanAppreciation Night.
