Carnival Cruise Line Adds Sailings from San Francisco to Carnival Miracle’s Inaugural Schedule In 2020

Announcement Made in Conjunctionwith Carnival AirShip's San Francisco Flyover

MIAMI (Jan. 25, 2019) – Following tremendous response to CarnivalCruise Line's first-evercruises from San Francisco, the line is adding five voyages from the portto Carnival Miracle's previously announced inaugural schedule in 2020.


Including the five new voyages, CarnivalMiracle will now offer a total of 27 voyages within the wide-rangingprogram which includes four-day long weekend sailings to Ensenada, Mexico,10-day cruises to Alaska and 15- and 16-day voyages to Hawaii from Marchto September 2020. All voyages are now open for reservations.


These newly added sailings are part of Carnival's ongoingexpansion in the West Coast. Carnival carries more passengers from Californiathan any other cruise operator and will further bolster its leadership positionwith the debut of the new Carnival Panorama from Long Beach in December 2019and new cruise programs from San Diego beginning in December 2019 and SanFrancisco in 2020.


Today's announcement coincides with the San Francisco debut of theCarnival AirShip, a 128-foot-long blimp which, after a busy month of flyingacross California, will now pass over iconic landmarks like the GoldenGate Bridge, the Port of San Francisco, Fisherman's Wharf, and other hotspotsthroughout the city.

Additional Voyages from San Francisco

Carnival Miracle's five new voyages from San Francisco include:

  • Aug. 20, 2020 and Sept. 3, 2020: four-day sailing to Ensenada, Mexico;
  • Aug. 24, 2020 and Sept. 7, 2020: 10-day sailing to Alaska throughout the Last Frontier calling at Juneau, Skagway and Icy Strait Point;
  • Sept. 17, 2020: 16-day Carnival Journeys sailing to Hawaii calling at Maui (Kahului), Honolulu, Hilo, and Kauai.

Carnival's Previously Announced Schedule from San Francisco

These voyages complement Carnival Miracle's previously announcedSan Francisco-based program which kicks off on March 19, 2020 and includes:

  • Four-day weekend voyages to Ensenada throughout the spring and summer;
  • Five- and six-day cruises to Ensenada, Catalina Island and San Diego in the spring;
  • 10- and 11-day cruises to Alaska in the summer;
  • 15-day Carnival Journeys sailing to Hawaii in spring.

Prior toits San Francisco arrival, the AirShip was viewed by hundreds of thousands ofCalifornians, flying over cultural moments, Carnival ships, local schools,travel agent events, and much more.


The AirShip's month-long California journey began at the Rose Parade Showcaseof Floats in Pasadena then visited Carnival's sister brand, Princess Cruises;iconic events and attractions such as the Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood sign andGolden Globe® Awards; and multiple Sky Zone locations, CarnivalPanorama's newest fun-filled attraction.
