AIDA launches first Captain’s Cruise

Exclusive AIDA pur cruise withCaptain Hoppert and the stars of Let's Dance

Days at sea are whatcruises are all about. They stand for a grand passage, the breadth of theocean, for mentally unwinding, and for undiluted deceleration. That is why AIDACruises is once again launching one of its popular AIDA pur cruises. AIDAbellawill set sail from Venice on November 15, 2017, arriving in Dubai on November28, 2017. CaptainHoppert, who holds a doctorate in engineering, has held a captain's license forover 40 years and has been with AIDA right from the start. Guests will have theopportunity to acquaint themselves personally with Captain Hoppert at numerousevents relating to sea travel and navigation, while observing the starstogether, or at dinner in the restaurants.

The starry firmamentis rarely more beautiful than when seen from the boundless ocean. Nature isalso overwhelming beneath the water's surface – as will be shown by astronomyexpert Dr. Hartmut Renken and marine biologist Gabi Eidam. During astronomicalobservations and photo lectures they will captivate their listeners withscientific facts, exciting stories and extraordinary phenomena.

For dancing, thiscruise exclusively presents the "Let's Dance" stars, Kathrin Menzinger andVadim Garbuzov, offering fantastic show dances and lively workshops from thethree-time world champions in Latin show dance. Guests will be able to displaytheir newly-acquired skills straight away at the glamorous gala evening.

When it comes todancing, the incomparable Tatiana Peréz is of course a must as well. With askillful swing of her hips, she teaches guests her graceful oriental dance in aflash. And this powerfully versatile performer also brings along salsa, dancefitness and yoga.

AIDA top chef FranzSchned produces culinary highlights, throwing in an extra pound of geniality.Known from the ZDF show "Küchenschlacht," he will be transporting guests to theworld of TV cookery. Award-winning sommelier Gunnar Tietz will be ensuring thatthe right wines are served. He will guide guests through the world of wines,bouquets and aromas and, as the flavor ambassador with Otto Gourmet, will befamiliarizing guests with the subject of meat at the Perfect Meat Academy'sexciting workshops.

There is even moregreat entertainment in store with activities such as photo workshops, exquisitewellness treatments, and more than 30 fitness courses, and guests will beenthralled by shows such as "Dancing Queen" or the exclusive shows "Dreams" and"Bellagio."
