Charity lunch on P&O Cruises Britannia raises over £50,000 for Saints Foundation
The Saints at Sea charity lunch held on P&O Cruises flagship Britannia has raised £52,580 for Saints Foundation, with all proceeds supporting the charity’s work across Southampton’s local communities.
Now in its second year, Friday’s event (17 April) brought supporters together on Britannia for a four-course lunch and drinks reception. Guests heard from P&O Cruises CCO Stuart Allison; Southampton Football Club CEO Phil Parsons, and Saints Foundation’s Head of Partnerships, Jazz Bhatti, about the impact of the foundation’s work across the city.
The afternoon also featured an exclusive performance of Mr Tickerton’s Clockwork Circus from Britannia’s Headliners Theatre Company, before concluding with a raffle where guests had the chance to win a 14‑night holiday with P&O Cruises.
Carnival UK & P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “It has been a privilege to host Saints at Sea on Britannia for the second year. Southampton is our home and Saints Foundation plays a vital role in supporting the local community, so it was wonderful to welcome guests on board to support its work.”
Saints Foundation head of partnerships and business development Jazz Bhatti added: “We were delighted to see so many of our biggest supporters join us for Saints at Sea. Their support plays an important role in enabling Saints Foundation to continue its work across Southampton.”
Last season, Saints Foundation supported 2.4% of Southampton’s population and funds raised through Saints at Sea will continue to fulfil its vision of Southampton as a city where everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential.
P&O Cruises commitment to the city has extended to Saints Foundation since it became Southampton Football Club’s sleeve sponsor in the summer of 2024 and front of shirt sponsor for the 26/26 season. With over two years of partnership, P&O Cruises has hosted and encouraged many fundraising events and initiatives.
Carnival UK & P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow was presented with a framed and signed Southampton Football Club shirt by Saints Foundation in March, in recognition of the £15,000 raised through a special edition front-of-shirt sponsorship initiative earlier this year.
The framed shirt will be displayed at Carnival House as a lasting reminder of the partnership and its impact on the local community.
