Carnival Corporation & plc Confirms, Clarifies Discussions With TUI AG
MIAMI, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Carnival Corporation & plc(NYSE: CCL; LSE) (NYSE: CUK) has confirmed that it has held discussions withTUI AG (TUIGn.DE) and that those discussions are continuing. However, thenature of the discussions has been incorrectly reported by various Germanmedia as they do not involve exclusive distribution of any of Carnival'scruise products.
The company's very successful AIDA brand, which serves the German market,is completely satisfied with its present distribution model and appreciatesthe support that it receives from its travel agent partners.
Should current discussions lead to an agreement with TUI AG, CarnivalCorporation & plc will immediately announce details of the agreement.However, until that time, the company will not comment further.
