Princess Cruises Kicks Off “Sail with the 12s” Fan Cruise with Ultimate Sailgate Party Including Special Appearances by Seattle Seahawks Players

Fans Rally Aboard Crown Princess at the Port ofSeattle

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (June 20,2015) – Princess Cruises, the Official Cruise Line of the Seattle Seahawks,kicked off the “Sail with the 12s” Seahawks Fan Cruisetoday with a spirited onboard rallyfeaturing Seahawks Wide Receivers Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse, the highenergy Blue Thunder drumline, Sea Gals and mascots Blitz and Boom. Attended byhundreds of fans, the rally featured a special “Spirit of the 12s” flag-raisingceremony by local military veteran John Kaiser.

About U.S. Army VeteranJohn Kaiser (Spirit of the 12s Flag Raiser):
JohnKaiser joined the U.S. Army in 1997 and served 10 ½ years on active duty as aninfantryman. He was deployed on two tours inIraq in 2003 and 2006. On October 16, 2006, an enemy mortar round landed infront of Kaiser’s Stryker inflicting severe damage including the loss of hisright eye, a shattered cheek bone, temple, multiple skull fractures, broken jawand gunshot wound to the right shoulder. After multiple reconstructivesurgeries, Staff Sergeant Kaiser was medically retired. Kaiser was honored forhis brave service with a Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, Expert InfantryBadge and Jump wings.

Henow volunteers with Northwest Battle Buddies, an organization that providesservice dogs to veterans struggling with PTSD and/or traumatic brain injury. Theorganization trained his chocolate lab, Ruger. Kaiser was born and raised inWashington state and is a Seahawks fanatic, flying a 12s flag year round underthe American flag in his front yard.
