Costa Cruises: News For The 2018 Summer Season

Awaiting the arrivalof new ships ordered for Costa Cruises and Costa Asia, the Italian companyrepositions Costa Victoria to the Mediterranean and announces the sale of CostaneoClassica.

Costa Victoria will offer an itinerarydedicated to the beaches and entertainment of the Balearic Islands, originallyplanned for Costa neoRiviera, which will instead be positioned in Bari toreplace Costa neoClassica.

Genova, 2 August 2017– Costa Crociere (www.costacrociere.it) announces some news relative to its 2018 summeritineraries.

As of 30 march 2018 CostaVictoria will return to regular cruises in the Mediterranean. The ship has beenoperating mainly in China since 2012, offering cruises dedicated to the localmarket that was opened by Costa as the first line in the world serving China. Duringthe summer 2018 she will offer a one-week itinerary dedicated to the beachesand entertainment of the Balearic Islands, originally planned for CostaneoRiviera, with stops in Savona, Olbia, Minorca, Ibiza (overnight), Palma deMallorca and Tarragona (overnight). The itinerary will offer guests theopportunity to enjoy the unique experience of PortAventura World, the largestdestination resort in Europe with the Ferrari Land theme park.

The decision regardingCosta Victoria has been taken to maintain the offer in a highly popular regionof the Mediterranean unchanged. Awaiting the arrival of four new ships startingfrom 2019, which will permit Costa Cruises to grow further in Europe and Asia(two ships are for the Costa Cruises market and two for Costa Asia), theItalian company has accelerated the renewal of its fleet, formalizing thetransfer of Costa neoClassica, one of its longest-serving ships. As of March 102018, once its schedule of cruises between India and the Maldives is complete,Costa neoClassica will no longer be part of the Costa fleet.

From June 2018, CostaneoRiviera will then replace Costa neoClassica, offering one-week itinerariesdedicated to the Greek islands, with Bari as the only home port.

The company willprotect guests already booked on Costa neoRiviera and on Costa neoClassica, andhas taken steps to inform guests and travel agencies over next weeks.

Before returning tooperate in the Mediterranean, Costa Victoria will perform scheduled dry-dockrefurbishing works at the Chantier Naval de Marseille.
