Seabourn Offers an Impressive Line Up of “Ventures by Seabourn” Excursions for Seabourn Sojourn’s 2018 Season Exploring Alaska and British Columbia

SEATTLE, March 20, 2018 – Following a very successful2017 season Seabourn, the world's finestultra-luxury cruise line, is headed back to Alaska and British Columbia in 2018with an exciting lineup of guided Ventures by Seabourn optional,for-charge shore excursions. The new excursions for 2018 invite guests toexplore the extraordinary natural beauty and wildlife of The Last Frontier andCanada's Inside Passage via double sea kayak, Zodiac, catamaran and hikes.

The 11-, 12- and 14-day sailings planned in the region aboard SeabournSojourn will feature multiple opportunities for guests to enjoyup-close exploration that is enjoyable, approachable and eye-opening. Guestsopting to take a Ventures by Seabourn experience will enjoy adventurousactivities that are professionally planned and operated, and escorted by expertguides. The line has released a new video showcasing a captivating look at the luxuries, excitement andexpertise that combine to create the Seabourn experience and Ventures bySeabourn in Alaska and British Columbia.

Since its introduction in 2015, the program has become anenormously popular option for guests to enhance their travel experiences in anumber of ports around the world. The program also offers informativecomplimentary lectures by knowledgeable and articulate teams of scientists,scholars, naturalists and more. Meanwhile, the modest size of Seabourn shipsand the length of their itineraries afford opportunities for guests to exploremany sites, scenes and destinations many other cruise ships can't reach.

Featured Ventures by Seabourn excursions are available on selectitineraries and ports, and include:

· Explorationof Aialik Glacier by Kayak or Zodiac – Expect a depthless experienceon pristine water that spreads like a mirror before the prow, with quality timein a habitat brimming with diverse wildlife and surrounded by waterfalls, iceand glaciers. Not uncommon is an opportunity to see a glacier calving duringthe exploration, sending "bergy bits" crashing into the sea.

· Explorationof Holgate Glacier by Kayak or Zodiac – Get acquainted with localwildlife while exploring Holgate Fjord, Holgate Glacier, and surroundingwaterfalls. This is a one-off chance for a thoroughly immersive experience ofperusing a remote destination in detail.

· Explorationof College Fjord by Kayak or Zodiac – Available only on the June 16voyage of Seabourn Sojourn, this adventure explores an area rarelyvisited by cruise ships. Located in the northern sector of Prince WilliamSound, the fjord contains five tidewater glaciers, five large valley glaciers,and dozens of smaller glaciers, most named for East Coast colleges.

· InianIslands Exploration by Kayak or Zodiac (Inian Islands) – CrossSound is one of the main gateways for migratory humpback whales entering thesheltered waters of Alaska, and also where a variety of wildlife make theislands their home. Guests on board will have an opportunity to hopefully seethem in their natural habitat, including the Steller sea lions, Horned andTufted puffins, Sea otters, Harbor seals, Bald eagles and other bird species.

· MendenhallGlacier Adventure Hike (Juneau) – Immerse with a local guide andthe Seabourn Sojourn Ventures team to witness an incredible variety offauna and flora en route to the base of Mendenhall in Juneau. Then don a helmetand, ice conditions permitting, step into the spectacular ice caves of theglacier.

· PerseveranceTrail Hike (Juneau) – Here is a moderate to strenuous foray through the Alaskantemperate rain forest near Juneau that's not to be missed. Learn about localfauna and flora, as well as Alaskan and Native history, including entertainingstories of Juneau's past and the influential Gold Rush era.

· DavidsonGlacier Hike & Zodiac (Haines) – Take a Zodiac ride to GlacierPoint just outside of Haines and, after a "wet landing," switch from rubber tohiking or mountaineering boots and follow a local guide through the temperaterain forest. Upon reaching the base of Davidson Glacier, gear up for anexhilarating glacier walk covering more than six miles and rising 180 feet. Thefinal approach traverses boulder-strewn, loose-rock glacier moraine.

· MooseMeadows Intercoastal Hike & Zodiac (Haines) – Thisadventure includes a Zodiac ride over Moose Bay in Haines followed by a coastalhike with a local guide along the western side of Chilkat Peninsula thatproceeds from Moose Meadows to Twin Coves. The undulating terrain is surroundedby magnificent mountain and glacial scenery.

· Explorationof Sawyer Glacier/Endicott Arm by Kayak or Zodiac –Legendary scenery, abundant wildlife, waterfalls and boundless beauty wait viaZodiac through Tracy Arm/ Sawyer Glacier. The Zodiacs will allow guests to getclose to view the face of the glacier and to hopefully see wildlife, includingbirdlife, Mountain goats, Sea lions and Harbor seals.

· GlacierExploration by Catamaran – See the best of Tracy Arm/Endicott Armfjords including close-up examination of the majestic Sawyer or Dawes Glaciers,ice conditions permitting, from the comfort of a deluxe, water jet-poweredcatamaran that is uniquely designed to provide the best-possible views. Therewill be frequent stops on the jade-colored sea to view wildlife such as Harborseals, Mountain goats and Bald eagles.

· RainbowFalls Adventure Hike (Wrangell) – This moderate-to-strenuous hike on WrangellIsland heads into Alaska's temperate rain forest over the Rainbow Trail, amanmade boardwalk that winds through incredible forest scenery en route tomagnificent Rainbow Falls. The local guide will share details of natural andhuman history along the way.

· RainbowFalls Adventure Hike - Up & Over! (Wrangell) – All of theabove and more, including going over the top of the mountain to explore theother side of Wrangell Island. The hike covers 7.5 miles, with interpretationof natural and human history throughout.

· AnanCreek - Bear Viewing & Photography (Wrangell) – A bearexpert and photography specialist will team up for this ultimate bear-viewingexperience – arguably the best Alaska has to offer. Anan Creek is an ancientTlingit Native fishing site on the south end of Wrangell Island, with thelargest pink salmon run in Southeast Alaska attracting significant numbers ofblack and brown bears. The observation platform and photography blind overlookcascading falls with bears standing by to catch jumping fish. Available onselect voyages.

· Explorationof Misty Fjords by Kayak or Zodiac (Rudyerd Bay) – Explorethe most remote part of Misty Fjords National Monument, a territory explorerJohn Muir classed as among the most beautiful places he had ever seen. Thenarrow far end is not accessible by ship – but it is by Zodiac or kayak. Only aprivileged few can claim to have seen the marvelous tribute to the majesty ofnature.
