Cunard appoints Simon Palethorpe to lead brand growth
Cunard hasannounced the appointment of Simon Palethorpe as SVP sales & marketing.
Palethorpe will join Southampton-based cruise line Cunardon April 11,2016following a highly successful career in the food, retail and travelindustries.
His long career began in consulting and then at PepsiCo, followed by seniorroles at Levi Strauss andbuy.com,which was later acquired byJohn Lewis. This acquisition formed the foundation for John Lewis’currentonline business where Palethorpe served as managing director. On leaving JohnLewis, He then joined the board and became group commercial director for AvisEurope. After a stint in private equity at Terra Firma Capital Partners,Palethorpe has spent the last four years managing a portfolio of onlinebusinesses in the food, cosmetics and ticketing industries.
