Holland America Line’s ‘View and Verandah’ Promotion Invites Cruisers to Move Up and Get More

Seattle, Wash., Dec. 3, 2015 — Holland America Line has launched a“View and Verandah” sale to entice savvy travelers to plan ahead and book a2016 or 2017 cruise. The special offers include free stateroom upgrades, up toten percent off select shore excursions and savings on Collectors’ Voyages ifbooked by Feb. 29, 2016.
“Cruisers tend to beplanners, and with our View and Verandah promotionwe’re adding extra incentives to encourage moretravelers to book early,” said Orlando Ashford, Holland America Line’spresident. “Cruising is already an exceptional value; and with stateroomupgrades and savings on tours and Collectors’ Voyages, we’re making a dreamvacation all the more affordable.”
Aspart of the promotion, depending on departure and ship, guests who book aninside stateroom will be upgraded to an outside stateroom and those booking anocean-view stateroom will get upgraded to a verandah, representing a value ofup to $300 per stateroom.
Select Collectors’Voyages also are eligible for up to 25 percent off — a savings of up to $3,198per stateroom — under the View and Verandah promotion. Collectors’ Voyages combine back-to-back cruises toform a non-repeating longer itinerary that provides a more in-depth explorationof a region. For example, a cruiser would receive anupgrade to a verandah category and save $1,299 by booking an ocean-viewstateroom on next year’s 29-day Pacific Treasure and New Zealand DiscoveryCollectors’ Voyage sailing roundtrip Sydney, Australia. The cruise departs Nov.22, 2016, aboard ms Noordam. In Europe, the ms Eurodam’s 24-dayMagic of the Mediterranean Collectors’ Voyage departing May 30, 2016, begins at$2,499 per person for a verandah stateroom (upgraded from ocean-view), asavings of $850.
Guestswho reserve select shore excursions prior to cruising can take advantage of upto 10 percent savings if booked by March 15, 2016. This date is extended beyondthe View and Verandah offer deadline. More than 1,500 tours on all cruiseitineraries will receive the savings.
Cruisedestinations featured in the View & Verandah sale include Alaska cruisesand Land+Sea Journeys, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Bermuda, Canada/NewEngland, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Europe, Hawaii/Tahiti, Mexico andSouth America.
