Seabourn Appoints Brian Badura As Director Of Public Relations & Strategic Initiatives
SEATTLE, February 25, 2016-Seabournhas announced the appointmentof Brian Badura as Director of Public Relations & Strategic Initiatives. Awell-rounded communications talent whose many years of experience were earnedprimarily with the United States Navy, Badura will oversee all communications andpublic relations efforts on behalf of the award-winning, ultra-luxury cruiseline, including the upcoming launches of two new luxury vessels,SeabournEncoreandSeabourn Ovation, scheduled to debut in late2016 and spring 2018.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

Previously, Badura served as a Public Affairs Officer for the U.S.Navy, where he was stationed in various locations stateside and overseas. Nearly15 years in the role, he oversaw significant media events, including shipdeployments and homecomings of interest to international, national and localmedia alike. Organizations that benefitted from his public affairs acumenincluded Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia; InternationalSecurity Assistance Force, Afghanistan; U.S. Second Fleet, Norfolk; Navy RegionEurope/Africa/Southwest Asia, Naples, Italy; and Naval ForcesEurope-Africa/U.S. Sixth Fleet, Naples.
Badura got his start in public relations in 2001 as a PublicAffairs Officer for the U.S. Navy in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. Formore than six years, he was responsible for a variety of roles including mediarelations, crisis communication, news production, and staff supervision. Hisexperience also includes serving as a Public Affairs Specialist for the U.S.Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, D.C. Metro Area, and asDirector of Public Affairs at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda,Maryland.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Badura earned a Bachelorof Arts in Marketing from Lakeland College in 2001 and a Master of Arts inCommunication from the University of Oklahoma in 2004. He resides in theSeattle area with his family.
