Captain Dino Sagani Named Master of Majestic Princess

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (February 3, 2016) – PrincessCruisesannounced today that Captain Dino Sagani has been named master of its next newship, MajesticPrincess.He will lead a senior officer team with more than 100 years of seagoingexperience among them. <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

The relief Captain appointed to MajesticPrincess is Princess Cruises’ veteran, Captain Craig Street.

About Captain Dino Sagani

Captain Dino Sagani has served on board theships of Princess Cruises for over 21 years having commanded a variety ofPrincess vessels, including Sea Princess, Dawn Princess, Sapphire Princess,Diamond Princess and most recently as relief captain on board Royal Princessand Regal Princess. Sagani was born in Trieste on the North East Adriatic coastof Italy. Following the family tradition, he studied at the Nautical College inTrieste, which is one of the oldest Nautical Schools in Europe. On completionof his studies, he joined the Italian Navy, serving on a minesweeper during thefirst Gulf War. After the Navy, he joined Princess Cruises in 1995, where hequickly climbed the ranks and was promoted to Captain in 2007.

Captain Craig Street has commanded a varietyof Princess vessels, including Caribbean Princess, Golden Princess, SeaPrincess, Sun Princess, the former Royal Princess and Pacific Jewel, withsister Company P&O Australia.Inaddition, Captain Street has previously had the opportunity to bring threePrincess cruise ships into service from the same shipyard in Italy; namely theCaribbean Princess, Sea Princess & Dawn Princess. Street was born inNorfolk, England, spent most of his youth living in Edinburgh, Scotland. In1990 he joined the Princess family as a deck cadet and after serving 3 years asan apprentice, qualified as 3rd Officer in 1993. Since then he has advancedthrough the ranks with his first command being the Star Princess in 2008.
