AIDAdiva kicked off cruise season in Rostock-Warnemünde

With41 arrivals, AIDA Cruises is the city's most important cruise partner

AIDAdiva kicked off the cruise season in Rostock-Warnemünde onThursday, April 28, 2016. The 252-meter-long and 32.2-meter-wide ship arrivedfrom Göteborg with some 2,300 guests on board rounding out its 13-day cruisefrom Tenerife to Rostock-Warnemünde. Yet that same evening, it is "Anchors aweigh!"for AIDAdiva guests on a 4-day cruise to Oslo and Copenhagen.

With 41 arrivals this year, Rostock-based tourism company AIDACruises is once again the strongest cruising partner and one of the city's mostimportant economic drivers.

"Inour 20th anniversary year, we have again increased our range of travel optionsin the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe. AIDA and Rostock have been fostering aclose partnership for many years. Thanks to our commitment which we havecontinued to expand, the city has become one of the most important cruisedestinations in the Baltic region," said Felix Eichhorn, President AIDACruises.

This season AIDAdiva will be a guest in Rostock-Warnemünde 16times between April 28 and August 28, 2016, offering trips such as 10-dayBaltic cruises bound for St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn,Copenhagen, and Danzig.

As the second ship in the AIDA fleet, AIDAmar will be setting sail25 times from Rostock-Warnemünde starting on May 7, 2016, on 7-day trips to themost beautiful Baltic cities. AIDAmar's season will end in Warnemünde onOctober 15, 2016, with a real highlight: a transatlantic cruise to New York viaHamburg, Norway, Greenland, and Canada.

Thecruises to Hanse Sail will be another highlight for sailing fans. On August 13and 14, 2016, guests will be able to enjoy these spectacular maritimefestivities from the pool deck, as the ship sets sail and docks.
