Cruise Guide Award: AIDAprima honored as best ship for families
The annual Cruise Guide Awards were presented in Hamburg on November 10, 2017, during the Cruise Congress in Hamburg. The winner's trophy in the "Family-Friendliness" category once again went to AIDAprima.
In explaining its decision, the judging panel said: "The onboard family restaurant, the water landscapes in the Four Elements that are suitable for the whole family, as well as the outdoor pool, the rope course, the Lazy River, and the ice-rink in winter all make up a persuasive package that can stand up to any international comparison."
It was noted that, just like her sister ship AIDAperla, AIDAprima has a winning range of options during the vacations – from multimedia workshops with the robot, Nao, to choreography and singing coaching or soccer camps. On the feast days, the kids are treated to a program that they can marvel at and join in. On Christmas Eve, for instance, Father Christmas comes aboard the ship with his angels, with gifts for all the children. Another great highlight is the sleepover party at Christmas and on New Year's Eve at the Kids Club.
