AIDA Premiere in the Dominican Republic: AIDAvita docks for first time at new Amber Cove cruise terminal
On December 11, 2015, AIDAvita was the first ship in the AIDA fleet to dock at the new Amber Cove cruise terminal in the Dominican Republic. <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
The Carnival Group celebrated the Amber Cove cruise port on November 2, 2015, with a grand opening ceremony. This two-berth port is nestled in a picturesque Caribbean cove on the Dominican Republic's northern coast. From here, guests from eight of the Carnival Group's brands, including AIDA Cruises, will be able to set out on unforgettable voyages along the Amber Coast to explore a wide variety of highlights around the Puerto Plata region.
