Thrilling AIDA fireworks display for port birthday celebrations: Record-breaking 1.3 million visitors
To mark the 829th BIRTHDAY OF THE PORT OF HAMBURG, the main sponsor AIDA Cruises staged a huge birthday fireworks display last night. The cruise ship AIDAperla was the centerpiece of this spectacle of light and fireworks.
Right on time for the start of the AIDA fireworks at 9.45 p.m., AIDAperla got into position in front of the Harbor Piers. The 15-minute light spectacle transformed the night sky above the Elbe into a dazzling sea of color. Shortly afterwards AIDAperla sailed out of the port in the direction of the North Sea, heading for Le Havre.
AIDAperla's seven-day metropolis tour takes in Southampton, Le Havre, Zeebrugge and Rotterdam and can be booked from 599 euros per person. A total of 1.3 million visitors enjoyed the highly entertaining four-day maritime program that was staged at the port and on the water. Exciting features such as a mobile show stateroom were set up at the AIDA Vacation World in the HafenCity and at the Hamburg del mar Beach Club. On the water, AIDAvita, AIDAperla and AIDAsol presented themselves on May 11, 12 and 13 respectively.
